A.S.R. Accurate Stitch Regulator™

The Janome Accurate Stitch Regulator System includes four feet: closed-toe, open-toe, clear view, and the exclusive ruler work foot so that all of your free-motion needs are covered. With the added benefit of being able to set the sensitivity of the sensor; you can adjust the regulation as your skills build.

AcuFeed Flex™

The detachable AcuFeed Flex Layered Fabric Feeding System is the best on the market. AcuFeed Flex perfectly guides your fabric from the top and bottom. Perfect for quilts, plaids, and any sewing requiring precise control.

Professional Grade Needleplate, HP foot & HP2 Foot

Utilize these narrow gauge industrial-type feet for curves and precise topstitching. They provide excellent ease of control and superior visibility. They are sized perfectly for creating 1/4" seams, achieving accurate stitches, and perfect starts on any type of fabric.

Automatic Presser Foot Lift

The presser foot lift on the machine automatically lifts the presser foot after a thread cut. This feature can be set to raise at the end of any seam, with the needle in the down position for easy pivoting.

Cloth Guide

The cloth guide snaps into the bed of the machine around the free arm and can be used even with an extension table attached. Use this guide to make perfectly even wide hems.

Extension Table Included

Utilize the included extra wide extension table to provide extra space for large applications.

Choose from 400 different stitches on the MC9480 and 11 buttonholes. There is also a fantastic array of standard feet and accessories, including a Cloth guide, an Extra wide table, a dust cover, and included Stitch Composer software

Retractable Sewing Light

The retractable Sewing Light and nine Ultra Bright LED lamps are everything you need for a shadow-free workspace. The retractable sewing light pulls out to give direct light in the needle area, and the nine LEDs illuminate the bed area.

Superior Needle Threader 2

Threading could not be easier. Set your thread, push the lever, release, and sew. The Enhanced Superior Needle Threader's advanced design feeds the thread through the eye of the needle.

9mm stitch width

One Step™ Needle Plate Conversion

The One Step Plate Converter allows for no screws or tools. Simply push the lever to release the plate and snap a new one in place. The MC9480 comes with three standard needle plates: The Standard Zig Zag, Straight Stitch and the Professional ¼” Needle Plate.

Memorised Piecing

The Memorised Quilt Seaming feature on the MC9480 memorises the length of your seams. When sewing, the machine will stop exactly where it should for each quilt seam.
