Created with easy and time-saving features, the Horizon Memory Craft 9450 is unlocking limitless possibilities for quilters to escape into a world of pure creativity. The MC9450 has an impressive 11" (280mm) right of needle free arm and a 15 ½” of total work area. This enables you to store extra fabric from quilts, bridal dresses and those larger home furnishing projects.

In addition, you can enjoy exceptionally smooth quilt piecing with the included AcuFeed™ Flex Layered Fabric Feeding System; achieve faster performance with a sewing speed of 1,060 SPM. Nevertheless, even at those speeds stitch quality is a priority.

View your work shadow free

The adjustable High Light and nine Ultra Bright LED lamps are everything you need for a shadow-free workspace. The adjustable High Light pulls out to give direct light in the needle area and the nine LEDs illuminate the bed area. The LED lights on the MC9450QCP are approximately 1.6 times brighter than the MC9400QCP.

AcuFeed Flex™

The AcuFeed Flex Layered Fabric Feeding System is the best on the market. AcuFeed Flex perfectly guides your fabric from the top and bottom. Perfect for quilts, plaids and any sewing requiring precise control. The MC9450QCP has the AcuFeed Flex Foot (HP2) which provides superior visibility and is ideal for stitching curves and precise topstitching. As with all the AcuFeed feet it works with the lower feed dogs to achieve a more professional finish. The AcuFeed Flex Foot (HP2) must be used with the Professional Grade Needle Plate (HP).

Superior Needle Threader

Threading could not be easier. Set your thread, push the lever, release and sew. The Superior Needle Threader’s advanced design feeds the thread through the eye of the needle with precise accuracy every time.

9mm Zig-zag

Stitch up to 9mm wide stitches - the extra width makes all of your decorative stitches bolder, brighter, and more distinct.

Advanced Touchscreen

The advanced LCD touchscreen shows all of the information you need to sew with ease. Select new stitches and memorize your favourites for quick access.

Stitch Composer: Create Your Own Designs

Create your own stitch patterns from scratch! The program is easy to use, and transferring stitches to your machine is easy using the built-in USB port.

Stitches & Extras

Choose from 350 different stitches, 11 buttonholes, monogramming with 4 fonts included (9mm uppercase & numbers). There is also an amazing array of 22 standard feet and accessories including Cloth Guide, Extra-Wide table, dust cover, and included Stitch Composer software.

Auto Presser Foot Lift

The presser foot lift on the MC9450 automatically lifts the presser foot after a thread cut. This feature can be set to raise at the end of any seam, with the needle in the down position for easy pivoting.

Precision Markings

The Patented needle plate markings on the MC9450 provide comprehensive measurements right under the needle so that the pivots points and angle lines are right where you need them to be.

One Step™ Needle Plate Conversion

The One Step Plate Converter allows for no screws or tools. Simply push the lever to release the plate and snap a new one in place. The MC9450 comes with three standard needle plates: The Standard Zig Zag, Straight Stitch and the Professional ¼” needle plate.

Memorised Quilt Seam

The Memorised Quilt Seaming feature on the MC9450 memorises the length of your seams. When sewing, the machine will stop exactly where it should for each quilt seam.

Auto Pivot

When working on applique, the Auto-Pivot function allows for fast and accurate stitching, especially along corners and curves.

Ruler Quilting

Be even more creative and expand your quilting options by taking advantage of the wide array of precision templates on the market for ruler-guided quilting. Select the ruler work mode in sewing applications and use the new Ruler Work foot (QR) to safely follow along the guiding edge of precision cut templates. Achieve beautiful and consistent quilting design results previously only available to longarm quilters. Adjust the presser foot height to suit the quilt thickness by using the + or - key next to the presser foot icon. For medium to heavyweight quilts select "Medium" and for lighter weight quilts select "light".

Auto-power Off Timer

No more forgetting to shut off your machine. You can set your machine to power off after a certain amount of time ranging from 1 - 12 hours. The default setting is 7 hours but it can also be turned off.

Tapering

When the tapering icon is enabled you can select certain stitches to create beautifully tapered stitches. You can also adjust the angle of the tapering, lock stitch on/off at the beginning/end of stitches, patterns can be mirror imaged, number of pattern repeats can be set and the angle and number of repeats can also be saved in a favourite setting. The Tapering function has a quick reference and preview screen which allows you to see the angle at the start and end and also how many pattern repeats.
