What this easy to use, versatile performer also gives you is a choice of 170 stitch options including alphabet and numerals!! plus many helpful features which will save you time as well as increasing your creativity.
Contemporary in design, the SMD170Q has a whisper quiet rotary mechanism which delivers the performance, power and precision required to get the job done with the minimum of fuss.
All of the regular utility stitches are available including overlock, stretch, satin and other decorative stitches plus no less than 13 different styles of buttonhole plus stitched eyelet.
Above all, the SMD170Q proves that not everything that is computerised has to be complicated. Clearly defined control buttons on the front panel allow you to select your stitch pattern. These have been thoughtfully grouped in 3 categories to help you navigate your way to the required stitch. Mode one has your utility stitches which you will be using most often. Mode two has your decorative stitches and mode three is where you will find alphabet stitches and numbers. Each stitch has its own memorised optimum setting which can be fine tuned with the +/- buttons for personal preference.
The powerful DC motor and speed limiter work together and allow the SMD170Q to sew at a slow pace without losing needle penetration power. The SMD170Q is supplied with an electronic foot control which can be used to regulate the sewing speed or, alternatively, the stop/start button is a very handy feature which gives the user the option of operating the SMD170Q without a foot control.
By utilising the mirror image and PES - "pattern end selector" control, the SMD170Q can further enhance your creativity and the stitch memory allows you to string letters together to stitch out names.
