"Simplicity by Janome" - A range of
machines where each model is selected only if it meets our "Simplicity
by Janome" three point criteria - ease of use, reliability, and of
course, excellent value for money!
Whatever is your interest - home decor, dressmaking or patchwork and
quilting, the combination of the DM3000`s
twenty four stitches plus six styles of buttonhole together with a
list of features usually only found on more expensive machines gives
you the ability to approach the task in hand with confidence.
With step by step
instructions written as if you have
little sewing experience,
the "Simplicity by Janome" DM3000 is suitable for the novice as well
as the more experienced sewer.
Ease Of Use
The DM3000 is a fully computerised mid range sewing machine at an
affordable price.
Amongst its numerous features that makes operating the DM3000 such a
pleasure to use is an easy to thread top
loading bobbin with anti jamming rotary hook. Simply drop the bobbin
in and thread around. In case you are still not sure, the threading
diagram is also printed on the bobbin cover!
Threading the top of the machine is as easy as 1, 2 , 3, 4 and thru
the needle. The clearly defined path is numbered at each threading
point and when you reach the needle, the built in needle threader will
thread it for you.
The DM3000 has a clear Liquid Crystal Display that indicates which of
the 30 stitches is selected as well as the length and width setting of
the stitch. The preset length and widths are easily adjusted by using
the +/- buttons.
The electronic foot control is used to regulate the speed whilst a
powerful DC motor and speed limiter work together and allow the DM3000
to sew at a slow pace without losing needle penetration power.
Alternatively, the stop/start button is a very handy feature which
gives you the option of operating the machine without a foot control.
Above all, the DM3000 proves that not everything that is computerised
has to be complicated!
Reliability
The Janome reputation for reliability is legendary and well
documented. The Janome brand was established in 1935 and in 1936,
opened the first mass production factory for domestic sewing machines
in Japan.
Janome designed and manufactured the first programmable computer
sewing machine back in 1979 and launched the first domestic
computerised hoop embroidery machine in 1990.
Using modern techniques, innovations and components in its current
models, Janome have established themselves as the leading specialist
domestic sewing machine company.
Value For Money
Compare the price and features of the DM3000 to machines of similar
specification and quality. Our opinion - NO COMPARISON!!
Gentle enough to cope with lightweight delicates and yet powerful
enough to sew through the heaviest layers of denim, the DM3000
really is the perfect all rounder at an incredible price.
Clearly indicates selected stitch, stitch length and width.
Electronic Speed Limiter
Set the maximum speed that you are comfortable with, even with your
foot control at fully depressed. Also used with the start/stop
control.
Start/Stop Control
Originally only found on top of the range models, simply unplug
your foot control and press to start button. Your DM3000 will
automatically start slowly before reaching maximum speed set with
speed limiter. Press again to stop. Easy!!
Automatic Buttonholes
A dressmakers dream. No less
than 6 styles to choose from. All stitched out in one step,
automatically matching the size of the button. Combinations of
standard, keyhole, round end and stretch.
Perfect buttonholes in seconds, each one an exact size of
the other.
Needle Threader
This feature is a real time saver. Engage the needle
threader behind the needle and a small hook locates through the eye of
the needle. The thread is then taken around the guide and the needle
threader released. Result - a needle threaded in seconds.
Hard Cover
Protects your machine from knocks and scrapes. A slot in
the top for the handle means your machine is still portable, even with
the cover in place.
Auto Declutch Bobbin
No need to manually declutch. Simply click the bobbin winder
into position and the sewing mechanism is automatically released.
Drop Feed
For those who like to express their creativity with free hand
embroidery. Drop the feed dogs leaving you in full control. Or use
traditionally for darning.
Free Arm / Flat Bed
Use as conventional flat bed for general sewing tasks or
remove the accessory box for free arm sewing, allowing you to easily
sew sleeves, trouser legs or any "difficult to reach" areas. Use the
accessory box to keep your presser feet, bobbins, needles, etc.
Quick Release Foot Holder
To change the presser
foot, simply lift the foot lifter, press the release button and the foot will
detach. To attach the another foot, line the foot up with the foot
holder and lower the presser bar.
The standard zig zag, buttonhole, zipper, and satin stitch foot are
all interchangeable with the press of a button. Plus many
optional feet are available.
