The lightweight yet durable DM2000 is equipped with the Janome top loading magnetic bobbin system which means that unlike the traditional style front loading bobbin case, is whisper quiet and smooth as silk when running at full speed.

Ease Of Use
The threading of the DM2000 cannot be simpler. Simply follow the thread path on the top of the machine, as easy as 1, 2 , 3, 4 and thru the needle. The clearly defined path is numbered at each threading point and when you reach the needle, the built in needle threader will thread it for you.
Threading the top loading bobbin is just as easy. Simply drop the bobbin in and thread around. In case you are still not sure, the threading diagram is also printed on the bobbin cover!
The choice of built in stitches is conveniently displayed on the front of the machine. Length and width can be adjusted independently to suit the stitch and fabric type and buttonholes are stitched out in one easy step. Each one to automatically match the size of the button.
Lightweights or heavyweights? No problem. The DM2000 has adjustable presser foot pressure which can be increased as required to feed heavyweights evenly or reduced to assist lightweight delicates without marking them.
A convenient "slide out" tray on the left of the machine is ideal for storing presser feet, bobbin, needles and is easily accessible.

• Top Loading Bobbin
  The bobbin case remains in place for threading and only has to be removed for cleaning. The top loading bobbin is easy to thread as the bobbin drops in from the top and is fitted with a see thru plate so the amount of thread left on the bobbin can be easily seen. Other advantages of this system over the front loading type are smoother and quieter operation as the shuttle hook rotates rather than oscillates which causes less vibration and is less likely to jam.

  Three dials (selector, length, width) means the DM2000 is so much more versatile than two dial or single dial.

• Adjustable Foot Pressure
  Rather than just one "automatic" foot pressure, the DM2000 allows you to regulate the pressure down onto the fabric, making it much more versatile. Delicate lightweight fabrics can be stitched on the minimum setting, avoiding the possibility of marking the fabric. For heavyweights, turn the foot pressure to the maximum allowing the feed dogs to get maximum grip resulting in perfect even stitches

• Automatic Buttonholes
  Easy to use one step, automatically matching the size of the button. Insert the button into the carrier, set your length and width and each one is stitched out an exact size of the other.

• Needle Threader
  This feature is a real time saver. Engage the needle threader behind the needle and a small hook locates through the eye of the needle. The thread is then taken around the guide and the needle threader released. Result - a needle threaded in seconds.

• Hard Cover
  Protects your machine from knocks and scrapes. A slot in the top for the handle means your machine is still portable, even with the cover in place.

• Auto Declutch Bobbin
